![]() ![]() Is there a way to get my OS X Lion downloaded without upgrading to Mavericks? Or is this just one of those dumb catch 22s that Mac invents just for the pure pleasure of being difficult on people who really try to enjoy their Macs? So why would they make OS X Lion available to download ONLY through the App Store and thus ONLY through OS X Mavericks? That doesn't make sense. My question is why would I buy OS X Lion if I had OS X Mavericks already? That would be useless. my safari won't let me upgrade to the newest one because I'm only on Snow Leopard and there are major security/spam issues on the outdated version. However, my Macbook is old and definitely behind on software. there's absolutely no way I'm downloading Mavericks to my Macbook as well. Since I didn't have Time Machine set up and can't figure out how to go BACK to the OS X I had previously on my iMac. ![]() ![]() Since I updated my iMac to OS X Mavericks 6 months ago, I've had major problems with the machine ever since - including iMovie becoming useless, and the computer freezing every couple of hours its used - seemingly an overheating issue which I have been powerless to resolve. The emails say that they require you to get the App Store in order to claim the download, which is only available through OS X Mavericks. Unlike when I purchased OS X Snow Leopard and they sent me a CD, this time they emailed me the codes to download OS X Lion. I recently purchased OS X Lion for my old black Macbook. ![]()
